Saint Nevermind

A mask, inspired by clams and mushrooms, measures brainwaves and shares them in real time with other organisms. This connection enables a subconscious connection to different ecosystems to gain new perspectives and experience a deeper connection to nature. At the same time, natural objects such as pearls, shells and mushrooms carry lost knowledge and the essence of life. This opens up a connection to primordial existence and makes it possible to detach oneself from social norms in order to perceive life in a value-free way and achieve a state of transcendence.

The mask was produced using 3D printing processes and procedural generation methods to adapt the masks shape to fit a 3D scan of the model. This is a prototype that will be expanded in the future with EEG technology. The manufacturing process includes state-of-the-art techniques to ensure that the mask fits perfectly and is functional. By using Houdini, we were able to achieve a precise fit based on the individuals 3D scan, guaranteeing a perfect fit. With the future use of EEG technology, the mask will be able to measure brain activity and share it in real time, allowing for an even deeper connection and understanding of the natural world. These technological advances will help revolutionize the interaction between humans and nature.
